The XTENDEX® SD/HD/3G-SDI Extender via Fiber Optic Cable locates up to two displays from a SD/HD/3G-SDI video source up to 25 miles away using a simplex singlemode FC fiber optic cable. Each extender consists of a transmitter that connects to a SD/HD/3G-SDI video source and a local loop out, and a receiver that connects to up to two SD/HD/3G-SDI displays.

Cables

Interface cables between the video sources, displays, and the extender are required for proper operation.
RG-6 18 AWG solid 75 Ohm coaxial cable terminated with BNC connectors are recommended for use (such as Belden 1694A) (not included).
- Maximum coaxial cable distance between source or display to the unit:
  - SD/HD-SDI: 650 ft (198 m)
  - 3G-SDI: 450 ft (137 m)
Use a simplex singlemode FC 9-micron fiber optic cable to extend the receiver from the transmitter up to 25 miles (40 kilometers) (not included).
