The XTENDEX® 4K HDMI HDBaseT Extender with USB and RS232 transmits uncompressed digital 4Kx2K HDMI signal, USB and RS232 up to 328 feet over a single CATx cable using HDBaseT technology. Each extender consists of a local unit that connects to a computer and a remote unit that connects to a UHD HDMI display and USB 2.0 device.

Overview

Transmits an uncompressed high speed HDMI signal over one CAT6/6a/7 cable.
Supports Ultra-HD 4Kx2K resolutions to 3840x2160, 2K resolution 2048x1080, HDTV resolutions to 1080p, and up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA).
HDMI features supported:
- x.v.Color, sYCC601 color, Adobe RGB Color and Adobe YCC601 color
- Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, and DTS
- Bandwidth up to 340 MHz (10.2 Gbps).
- Support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices.

Supports the DDC2B protocol.
USB 2.0 port for keyboard, mouse, flash drive, HDD, or touchscreen display.

Compatible with a USB computer (PC, SUN and MAC) with Ultra-HD HDMI output.
- Use an HDMI to DVI adapter/cable to connect a DVI source.
  - If a DVI source is used, a DVI monitor must be connected to the remote unit.

Remote Unit

One female HDMI connector for display.
- If an HDMI display is used, an HDMI or DVI source can be connected to the local unit.
- Use an HDMI to DVI adapter/cable to connect a DVI display.
  - If a DVI monitor is used, a DVI source must be connected to the local unit.
One female USB Type Mini B connector for connecting USB keyboard, mouse, flash drive, HDD, or touchscreen display.
- Use a USB hub to extend multiple USB devices.
3-pin screw terminal for RS232.
- Support full-duplex RS232 up to 115200 baud.

Cables

Interface cables between the source/display and the transmitter/receiver are required for proper operation.
- Supports cable lengths to 30 feet.
- Cables longer than 30 feet can be used provided they have a built-in video equalizer (also known as "active HDMI cables").
Use HD-xx-MM cable to connect an HDMI source or display.
Use DVI-HD-xM-MM cable to connect a DVI source or display.
- If a DVI source is used, a DVI monitor must be connected to the remote unit.
Use HD-ACT-xx-MM 4K HDMI Active Cables to connect an HDMI source or display up to 100 feet.
Use CAT6/6a/7 solid straight through cables for TIA/EIA 568B wiring terminated with standard RJ45 connectors.
Cables not included.
